There have actually been four drag strips in Fontana.
Fontana 1 was Gilfillan Filed. According to drag racing historian Bret Kepner, Fontana Airport was used as a drag strip in 1950-52, so it must have been barely active as an airfield at that time. Fontana 2 is the track that probably has the most history and the one referred to as Fontana Drag City or Mickey Thompsons Fontana International Dragway. Source and photos

Fontana 3 was the track on the south side of the oval at the Auto Club Speedway.
Fontana 4 is the track that we now race at on the north side of the Speedway.
