I'll be there. But I think it's time you guys at barona take a close look the cost of racing at your track compared to other tracks. In these times that is a huge factor to other racers. It was nice to see that they put the races back to a Two day format. That would have cost them my group from making 8 trips down when i live 4 miles from fontana.

How much does it cost to enter sportsman...?

How much does it cost to enter Pro...?

What is the purse structure...?

Can you double enter the same car in 2 classes...???

Do you have to pay to enter the points series to aquire points or pay at the end of the season if you want to go with the team...???

It is close to a 3 hour tow for most of us from Fontana...

Can we camp over night without any camping fees...???

How many races do you have to support to come and race for your King of the Track and Nat'l Dragster challenge races....???

We have 8 in our camp willing to come play........

Costs $50 to enter sportsman or pro at Fontana for $1000 to win usually.

Tell us what you have...

Anyone that knows any answers please post.

$40 each day Gate fee ....

2009 Summit entry fees were as follows- $30 for sportsman-$40 for pro and $50 for Super Pro. The payout was based on car count-I believe if you made the semis you got some money but I don't know how it was figured. They did not allow double entry of same car in two different classes. You had to pay to collect points from the first race entered and then we paid additional fees to go to ET Finals at the end of the year. They did allow racing in the classes without joining the team or tracking points. No camping fees and usually you could get in on a Friday afternoon evening and stay through the weekend.

For ND challenge it was run on a Summit Weekend and you had to pay to have points tracked (additional $40) to run for wally in ea class. The King of the track weekend they let anybody run...but I will say it's been different rules the last two years so I would contact the track directly and ask how they will do it this year.

Always a $20 Gambler usually after 2nd rd of elims (if you were still in the Summit deal you could not run the gambler) -60/40 split for winner/runnerup and a $20 closest to the dail before elims started (red light disqualified you- if a tie the best reaction time won) - winner got half and the track took half.

Super Pro and Sportsman the classes were light in car count (maybe 8 to 10 cars in each)- Pro was usually 12 to 16...Saturday more cars verses a Sunday. The payouts were never as high as $1000 to win at any Summit race in 09...but that could change if more cars came.

They changed the dates to two races per weekend and they do not conflict with Fontana- Jan 23/34, Mar 20/21, May 29/30 and Aug. 21/22.

I think some of the Barona regulars are planning on running Fontana schedule as well this year.

I'd like to race Barona sometime; and Bakerfield, and Las Vegas.

Anybody know of any ramp trucks for sale within a thousand miles?

Cheers,
Tim

Barona is a cool track.....very good racing surface and good pit area...also the scoreboards are cool.

I liked Vegas but couldn't make much power there....Bakersfield is awesome...great air and history.....
